Refund Policy

1. LESSON TUITION & CANCELLATIONS

1.1. You are entitled to cancel or rearrange your lesson tuition up to 48 hours prior to the booked time without penalty.

1.2. Cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice will entitle you to a full credit or refund of that lesson hour. If you cancel within the 48-hour window, the full lesson fee is forfeited.

1.3. No refunds are payable where a period of 6 months has lapsed since your last driving lesson, unless agreed otherwise in writing by management.

1.4. Valid refunds are subject to a £15 administration and processing charge to cover merchant handling fees and administrative time. This charge will be deducted from the total balance paid back to you.

1.5. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method you used when making the initial booking. If this is not technically possible, we reserve the right to refund via bank transfer.

1.6. To comply with UK Anti-Money Laundering Regulations and merchant operating instructions, we may request additional proof of identity before releasing funds.

1.7. Approved refunds may take up to 14 to 28 working days to process and clear back into your account.

2. ADVANCED PAYMENTS & BLOCK BOOKINGS

2.1. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period: In compliance with UK Consumer Law, all online and app bookings are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off window from the date of payment, provided no lessons have been conducted. Starting your training within this window waives your right to a refund for any hours already delivered.

2.2. Package Expiry: Block booking packages (5-hour and 10-hour blocks) are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. After 6 months, unused hours are non-refundable and expire, unless an extension is explicitly agreed upon due to exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical reasons).

2.3. Recalculation Rate: If you request a refund on a partially used block booking package within the valid 6-month period, the lessons you have already taken will be recalculated and charged at our standard individual hourly rate. The remaining balance will then be refunded, minus the £15 administration charge.

3. RESCHEDULING POLICY

3.1. Any cancellation made at least 48 hours before the lesson can be rescheduled into an alternative diary slot, subject entirely to the instructor’s current availability.

3.2. DMW Driving School reserves the right to refuse future rescheduling requests if a pupil fails to attend booked sessions twice without notice, or repeatedly reschedules appointments at short notice.

3.3. All agreed rescheduled hours must be conducted within 6 months of the original booking date
