Terms and Conditions

All trainees must be in possession of a signed provisional driving licence on commencement of training, and must satisfy the eyesight requirement.

1. INSURANCE:

Fees include trainee's cover for insurance liability claims whilst driving the school's vehicles, providing that the trainee is duly  licensed to drive and is accompanied on test by a DVSA examiner or under direction of the instructor.

2. PAYMENTS:

The driving school reserves the right to charge for any training (lessons) not cancelled at least 48 hours before the date and time booked. Payment for training must be made in advance. Prepayments are refundable at the discretion of the management, on production of an official receipt. Any requested invoices are subject to an administration Fee of £2.50 per invoice.

3. CANCELLATION OF BOOKED LESSONS:

At least 48 hours notice must be given by you or by your instructor, if there is a need to cancel or rearrange a lesson booking. Failure to give this notice will result in a valid claim for an equivalent value in compensation.

4.a OFFICIAL DRIVING TESTS:

The school reserves the right to withhold the training vehicles for the driving test if;  In the instructor's opinion, the trainee does reach the required standard. The test fee will be forfeited if three clear days notice is not given. This does not included Sundays, bank holidays, the day of cancellation or the day of test. The school also reserves the right to claim for  any damages caused to the school vehicle during the practical driving test due to your neglect.

4.b.TEST TERMINATION

If your driving test is terminated for any reason whatsoever then all previous permission given to you to drive the school car CEASES IMMEDIATELY. You expressly agree to remove the keys from the ignition, and either exit the vehicle, lock it and accompany the examiner back  to the test centre where the keys will be handed back to your appointed driving instructor from DMW Driving School directly OR remove the keys from the ignition place them securely in the glove-box and await your instructors  return. Please be aware that to drive the vehicle without supervision upon termination of a test would be against the terms of your provisional licence, against the terms of our insurance and totally without the permission of DMW Driving School. It would constitute a number of criminal acts (theft of a motor vehicle, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance) and should you do this, you will be reported to the police immediately for these offences.

5. APPOINTMENTS: Whilst every care will  be taken to ensure that clients receive the  training at the requested time and with the instructor as booked, all bookings are made on the understanding that the school is not responsible for the postponement of training due to adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown of equipment, absence of staff or any other cause.Neither can the school be responsible for driving test appointments postponed by the Driving Standards Agency.  If your instructor turns up on time at the pre-arranged pick up point and you do not show your instructor will wait 15 minutes if there is no contact made between you. After 15 minutes they will leave and you will bebe charged for the lesson.

6. PERSONAL PROPERTY: Naturally every endeavour is made to safeguard the personal property of any trainee, but we point out that the school accepts no liability whatsoever for jewellery, cash, clothing or other property that may be left  in the training vehicles or on their premises.

7. DRUGS/ALCOHOL MISUSE You must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol during you're training (driving lessons). In the event of there being any signs of drugs/alcohol misuse, your instructor will withhold the use of the training vehicle for use of tuition or driving test until you are in a legal and fit state to drive. Any prescribed medication that may effect your driving should be declared to the instructor and to the DVLA medical board.

By making a booking (booking lessons) you agree with the above terms and conditions and REFUND POLICY set out by DMW Driving School.
